Small label, big effect: How RFID helps liquor brands fight counterfeiting

What is an RFID tag?

RFID stands for “radio frequency identification”. Simply put, it’s like a talking sticker – there is a chip inside that can tell the machine who it is and whether it is real or fake through wireless signals.

Just stick it on the white wine bottle and “scan” it with a mobile phone or machine to immediately know whether it is genuine.

Well-known white wine brands like Gujing Gongjiu have already used RFID technology on high-end wines. They cooperated with Cainiao Supply Chain to put RFID tags on wine bottles to prevent counterfeit wine from taking advantage.
